In 2008, the Hanover County Lacrosse Club began the Ladyhawk program, a clinic style program for young girls. The response from the community was wonderful and the Club has worked hard during the off-season to improve the program as it moves into its fourth season. Club board member Liz Czaja will return as the lead instructor with a revised curriculum to keep the girls engaged and provide a strong foundation of lacrosse skills. The basic information about the Ladyhawks program appears below.
Ages
Open to girls, grades 1 through 5.
Schedule
The season will runs from late March through Mid May. Clinic style practices will be held Sunday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at CourthousePark on U.S. 301 and will focus on core lacrosse skills.To expand on these core skills, an additional game night (3v3 format) will be held for girls in 3-5th grade.
Required Equipment
All players will be required to provide their own stick, eye protection, and molded mouthpiece. Entry-level women’s lacrosse equipment is sufficient for the youth player. Equipment can be purchased at local sporting good stores such as Dick’s, Disco Sports or The Lacrosse Cage, or online from retailers such as Longstreth.com or Sportsherway.com.

Registration
Registration for the spring 2011 season begins December. The cost is $80.00, which includes:

·Hanover Ladyhawks T-shirt
